For those who don’t know what a longboard is, it’s the bearings that make the wheel spin when the longboard moves. The longboard consists of 3 main parts: Bridge, trucks and wheels. The bearings serve as a connection between the longitudinally mounted trucks and the rotating wheels.
Although each bearing is small, it has a big influence on the way your wheels turn. With an average price of less than $20 for the best longboard bearings, longboard bearings are an excellent investment for any longboard.
Below you will find our selection of the best long-life bearings currently available on the market. Use the table of contents for detailed information about each of the longboard bearings.
What’s a camp?
Bearing A has small steel balls that rotate on a circular path inside the bearing. One side of the bearing is then attached to the truck and the bearing side is attached to the wheel with small steel balls. This allows the wheels to move while the trucks stop at the same time.
Two bearings go into each long carrying wheel to ensure speed. Therefore, the bearings are normally sold in 8 sets.
Unlike some of the best long wheels, each long bearing has a standard size and fits any wheel. However, there is a big difference between good long bearings and bad bearings.
With good long bearings, you hardly know they’re there. Your long wheels will turn smoothly and evenly and you won’t have to change bearings for years.
With bad bearings, it’s exactly the opposite. If you press on the board, there may be more friction than normal and your wheels may turn at different speeds.
Although it is often not necessary to replace bearings, it can significantly improve the quality and smoothness of the ride.
When considering new bearings, remember how easy it is to change the bearings on your board. In fact, it takes less than half an hour to replace all the bearings on your plate. This is not the time when you think your ride will be better.
It is also easy to select the best longitudinal bearings on the market. There are several ways to look at bearings, including speed, durability, materials and, usually, the ABEC classification, which will be discussed below.
The most important factor to consider is the material from which the bearing is made. While many bearings are made of steel, the highest quality bearings are made of ceramic. Ceramic bearings generally have a longer service life, generate less friction and are not exposed to heat than steel.
Some bearings are supplied as complete sets with seals. Although it is not necessary, the spacers are placed between the bearings and the wheel. This additional component makes it possible to tighten the axles even more and at the same time ensure smooth wheel movement.
Other bearings are available with pre-lubrication. Pre-lubrication means that the bearings rotate faster after unpacking. Given the low price of skateboard oil, a lower one can still be a good buy if it is not delivered pre-lubricated.
To help you choose the best large bearings, the ABEC classification is a tolerance measure for large bearings. A higher tolerance means a higher wheel speed per minute (rpm). The ABEC scale has five points on the ABEC scale of 188.8.131.52 and nine points on the ABEC scale of 9, with ABEC 9 being the best.
However, some companies, such as Bones and Yellow Jacket, prefer not to use ABEC classifications, so it is not enough simply to buy ABEC 9 bearings and say that these are the best long-term bearings.
Bones Bearings uses a system called Skate Rating instead. They argue that the ABEC classification applies mainly to cars and motorcycles.

A better quality version of the Bones Red Bearings, the Bones Ceramic Red Bearings, will cost a little more, but the results will compensate for that. These bearings have the same high strength nylon and rubber protection as the Red Bones bearings, but with a few notable exceptions.
The ceramic balls used in these bearings are better than the best steel bearings. The result are balls that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than red-bot steel ball bearings.
Red Bones ceramic bearings are also sealed and last longer, making them a great buy for any skater looking for quality parts.

Bones Bearings crosses this list of the best longboard bearings with good reason. What makes Swiss ceramic bearings so interesting is the attention to detail that Bones puts into one of his best products. Bearings made of Swiss ceramics are approved for skating and offer better performance than all ABEC approved bearings.
Swiss ceramic bearings are among Bone’s lightest and are more resistant to dirt and moisture than any other Bone product.
These bearings also offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Some of the world’s best long borders use these bearings for good reason. The reason these bearings are further down the list is that they are slightly more expensive than bone ceramic bearings.
Bearing for yellow housing

Yellow ring bearings, yellow shirt bearings claim that their bearings rotate faster than the new red bones. The reactions seem to confirm this, as several people have said that their long wheels run longer with the yellow ball bearings. However, they are much louder than the Red Bones.
So the case is yours. If these bearings reduce friction and allow the wheels to rotate longer, this is due to the increased noise. This is probably due to the fact that less oil is put into the bearings beforehand, which can easily be remedied by adding a certain amount of lubricating cream at high speed.
The bearings in the yellow jacket are supplied with a seal and are also designed in accordance with ABEC 9 for manufacturing tolerances.
Although there is no strict guarantee on these bearings, the Yellow Jacket is so sure that you will enjoy these bearings that it offers a money back guarantee without any doubt.
